About Us
We, Denise Bassler and Teresa Wieser, decided that the efforts for Gryka (see here) should not have been in vain. If we couldn’t help her, we want to at least enable medical treatment for other sick children in the Philippines.
Therefore, the association Help For Kids In The Philippines e.V. was founded in August 2017. We want to provide as many children as possible with medical treatment and a chance at healing.
Denise Bassler
Denise, a self-employed make-up artist from Geislingen an der Steige and a German-Filipina, moved to the Philippines at the beginning of 2016. There she found the little girl Gryka and enabled her treatment through privately organized donations. In August 2017, Denise founded Help for kids in the Philippines e.V. to help sick children in the Philippines. She is responsible for and organizes direct contact with the children and parents, visits them in the hospital when she is in Cebu, speaks with doctors, and directly manages the financial support for the children’s treatments on-site.
Teresa Wieser
Teresa, an architect from Geislingen an der Steige, supported Denise from the very beginning and decided to co-found the association Help for kids in the Philippines with her. Teresa primarily handles donation receipts, bookkeeping, and organizational matters.
