Ember Nicole

Ember fell ill with ALL in July 2014. The parents were able to pay for the treatment by putting all the income from the parents’ restaurant into the treatment and by borrowing money from relatives. Then Ember’s father died very suddenly of a heart attack in July 2017. We were able to take Amber in and pay for her further treatments, which the mother was no longer able to do on her own. Amber has been considered cured since June 2018 and is now in the maintenance phase and only needs a bone marrow puncture every 3 months to ensure that the cancer cells continue not to return.
She is doing well today and is back at school and is currently in high school.
