Junior

Junior has been with Help for Kids in the Philippines since October 2025 and has been suffering from Langerhans cell histiocytosis for a year. A rare disease that attacks his immune system and causes swelling in the bones and tissue. In Junior’s case, the swelling occurs mainly on the head and arms. He is then in great pain.

The disease is very pronounced in him, so that—even if it is not cancer—it is treated with chemotherapy. Each cycle lasts 5 days, and 5 cycles are scheduled.

The chances of recovery are very good, and we hope Junior can lead a normal life again in a few months.
